Objectives

The scheme aims to support ambitious international development projects in contemporary music by funding various operational expenses. This includes travel costs, promotional activities, and remuneration for artists and technical teams. The goal is to enhance the visibility and reach of contemporary music projects on a global scale.

Beneficiaries

Eligible beneficiaries include:

• Promoters and funders of international music projects affiliated with CNM
• Phonographic producers
• Show producers
• Music publishers
• Distributors
• Agents and managers
• Self-employed artists

Exclusions apply to requests related to musical or variety shows.

Eligible operations

Eligible expenses include:

• Travel costs: transport, accommodation, per diem, visas
• Event-related costs: accreditations, stand rentals, backline, agent commissions
• Remuneration for artistic and technical teams, up to five times the applicable conventional rates
• Promotion and marketing expenses: foreign press agencies, advertising, social media campaigns, content creation

Expenses related to Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg are only eligible if three other non-French-speaking territories are involved. Content creation costs are covered up to 30% of total eligible expenses.

Eligibility conditions

Key eligibility conditions include:

• Projects must feature a phonogram on at least two commercial streaming platforms
• Artists or groups must have a minimum of 500,000 streams or 10,000 social media followers
• A maximum of three grants per year can be awarded to the same entity for the same project
• Total grants received by an entity under international development aid cannot exceed €200,000 in a calendar year.

Grant amount

Grants cover 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of €80,000 per project. The same entity may not receive more than three grants per year for the same project, and total funding from all sources must not exceed 50% of the total project budget.
